Learning Through Play, Every Day
Our Toddler Program provides a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to explore, discover, and develop growing independence. Designed for children 15 months to 2.9 years, the program supports the unique developmental needs of toddlers through hands-on learning experiences, responsive caregiving, and meaningful relationships.
Our program is grounded in developmentally appropriate practices and we recognize that toddlers learn best through active exploration, consistent routines, responsive interactions, and relationship-based learning. Teachers thoughtfully plan experiences that support the whole child while respecting individual developmental stages, interests, and emerging skills.
At this stage, children are learning rapidly through movement, play, language, and social interaction. Our educators create opportunities for toddlers to build communication skills, self-help abilities, problem-solving skills, and positive relationships with peers and adults. Daily experiences include sensory play, music and movement, art exploration, early literacy activities, outdoor play, and opportunities for choice and discovery that encourage curiosity and confidence.
Intentionally designed for energetic explorers, the classroom is a “Yes” environment where duplicate materials are kept at child-height to encourage choice, autonomy and parallel play. It supports active learning, safe exploration, and independence while providing predictable routines that help toddlers feel secure and successful throughout the day. Teachers use positive guidance strategies to support emotional regulation, social-emotional development, and emerging independence in a respectful and supportive manner.
We recognize the importance of strong partnerships with families and maintain ongoing communication about each child’s growth, development, routines, and milestones. Health, safety, and well-being remain a top priority, with practices and environments designed to meet the needs of active, developing toddlers.
At the heart of our Toddler Program is the belief that children learn best through nurturing relationships, purposeful play, and opportunities to explore the world around them with confidence and joy. We celebrate the “I do it myself!” spirit and through a balance of child-led play and gentle structure, we help toddlers navigate their world with confidence.
